Some reasons for teenagers that hack computers are that they think they can not get into trouble and they also think that hacking is harmless. Also they think of themselves as an elite group of information seekers that are experts at exploring computer systems. Not only that but they also think that as long as they don't commit theft, vandalism, or breach any confidentiality documents and they think it is cool,fun, or it makes them feel powerful. Some likely consequences for hacking is a fine that can be up to thousands of dollar's depending on how much is the damage, probation that might be up to several years, and community service that you do for free. The answer to the third question is NO because hacking is entering a computer without permission and taking personal information, but if the person doesn't take any information it is still hacking or illegal.
